Join us Tues., May 24, 5 pm for the Hometown Release Party for Leah Rhyne‘s Heartless (Polis Books, hb., 320 pp, $19). There will be wine, there will be cake, it will be epic.

About Heartless: Jolene Hall is dead — sort of. She walks, thinks, and talks, but her heart no longer beats. A contemporary retelling of Frankenstein, Heartless follows Jolene, her best friend, and her boyfriend as they follow a treacherous trail to find out who has turned her into a monster, and who’s next.

Leah Rhyne is a Jersey girl who’s lived in the South so long she’s lost her accent…but never her attitude. After spending her childhood watching movies like Star Wars, Alien, and A Nightmare On Elm Street, and reading Stephen King, Leah now spends her days writing tales of horror and science fiction. Her short fiction has appeared in such publications as Abyss & Apex Magazine and Revolt Daily. She writes for LitReactor.com, and for herself at leahrhyne.com. Leah lives with her husband, daughter, and a small menagerie of pets in Charleston, South Carolina.
