About the book: For years, Aziz Ansari has aimed his comic insight at modern romance, but for the book Modern Romance, he decided he needed to take things to another level. Ansari teamed up with NYU sociologist Eric Klinenberg to design a massive research project, conducting interviews and focus groups everywhere from Tokyo to Buenos Aires to Wichita. Enlisting some of the world’s leading social scientists to help analyze their findings, they produced a result unlike any social science or humor book we’ve seen before. In Modern Romance, Ansari combines his irreverent humor with cutting-edge social science to give us an unforgettable tour of our new digitized romantic world.

Aziz Ansari is a writer, stand-up comedian and actor best known for his role as Tom Haverford on NBC’s Parks and Recreation. In 2014, he became the seventh comedian ever to sell out Madison Square Garden in New York. He has also appeared in several films, including This is the End, Funny People, and 30 Minutes or Less.
