The Blue Bicycle Books Author’s Luncheon Series continues Fri., Nov. 13 with Sue Monk Kidd and Ann Kidd Taylor, discussing and signing Traveling with Pomegranates: A Mother-Daughter Story.
A memoir of trips to Greece and France, Pomegranates goes back 11 years, when Sue is turning 50 and contemplating writing fiction for the first time, the seed for The Secret Life of Bees just starting to germinate. A blend of humor and introspection, the Kidd women reflect on the ordinary and the eternal, from bad hamburgers to the Black Madonna.
The talk and a lunch of croque-monsieur, frites, and salad with pomegranate seeds will be at Fish Restaurant (chef Nico Romo), 442 King St., followed by a champagne-and-dessert book signing at Blue Bicycle Books, 420 King St.
