Lowcountry Local First has laid down the challenge: shift 10% of our spending to locally-owned businesses. Justin Nathanson made this great documentary to kick start things – you can see the Blue Bike section at the 1:15 mark. In case you don’t speak mumble, this is a transcript:

“It’s a very human place. We get to do a lot of things that other bookstores can’t do because of policies and things like that…I don’t have a lot of policies.
People come in, they want to see enough interesting and good and old things…We provide an experience.”
